The Outreach Team supports clients through addressing barriers to things like necessary medical or financial appointments, advocating for needs, supporting service providers by attending appointments with clients, connecting clients to appropriate services, and engaging with Grande Prairie’s vulnerable populations. They can be accessed by visiting or calling the office during business hours of 8:30AM – 4:30PM

City of Grande Prairie Mobile Outreach Program

The City of Grande Prairie’s Mobile Outreach Program (MOP) is a diversion program focused on mitigating the impacts of street level social disorder, addiction and public intoxication. MOP assists businesses and residents in handling their concerns related to the street engaged population. Concerns may include: trespassing, loitering, disturbances, public intoxication, needle debris and encampments.
The MOP is intended to provide immediate support for a client’s basic needs and navigation through local service systems such as emergency shelters, health care, addictions treatment and housing.
