Alberta Health Services | Friends and Family Drop-in Group

When: Monday’s from 6:15 – 8:15pm

A group for those affected by someone else’s alcohol/drug use or gambling. Meetings are held in the first floor Aberdeen Center every Monday from 6:15 – 8:15pm

Alberta Health Services | Recovery & Relapse Drop-in Group

When: Tuesday’s from 7:30 – 8:30pm

A group for adults to discuss recovery issues and concerns. Meetings are held at the Northern Addictions Centre (11333-106 Street) every Tuesday from 7:30 – 8:30pm.

Alberta Health Services | Kids’ Klub

When: March 19th – May 7th from 3:30 – 5:00pm

AHS Child & Youth Addiction and Mental Health Services will have its next Kids’ Klub program start date on March 19th, 2019.  The sessions will occur every Tuesday from 3:30 to 5:00 PM for eight consecutive weeks in the fourth floor boardroom at Nordic Court.  The goal of this program is to educate and support children 7 to 12 years of age who are negatively affected by a family member’s alcohol or substance use, gambling and/or mental health problem

International Overdose Awareness Day
When: August 31st

International Overdose Awareness Day is a global event held on 31 August each year and aims to raise awareness of overdose and reduce the stigma of a drug-related death. It also acknowledges the grief felt by families and friends remembering those who have died or had a permanent injury as a result of drug overdose.
